Securing Tickets to The Masters: The Hard Way
The Masters is the most prestigious event on the PGA Tour making tickets a hot commodity. Here are some of the best ways to ensure you secure a spot at Augusta:
- Official Masters Website: Every year, the Masters holds a ticket lottery. Register on their official website for a chance to purchase tickets. Here is the URL: https://www.masters.com/en_US/info/tickets/index.html
- Patron Tickets: If you know someone who’s a permanent ticket holder, they might have the option to pass along tickets for a particular year.
- Reputable Ticket Brokers: Sites like StubHub or Vivid Seats often have tickets, though they can be on the pricier side. Ensure you’re working with well-reviewed, legitimate brokers.
- Local Augusta Residents: Some local residents get tickets and may offer them for sale or rent. It’s a less conventional method, but word of mouth and networking can sometimes yield results.
- Always be wary of scams, and remember that buying/selling tickets on the grounds or within a certain proximity of the event is prohibited.
Securing Tickets to The Masters: The Easy Way
Let us handle everything! We’ll provide tickets and badges for the days you are interested in attending. Here is a quick rundown of the entire week:
Monday: The first official practice round. Be there to watch your favorite players begin their preparation for the tournament which starts on Thursday. It’s also the best shopping day of the week at the Pro Store. And unlike the tournament rounds, cameras*** are allowed during the practice rounds.
Tuesday: Another full day of practice. Cameras allowed once again.
Wednesday: Final practice round plus the annual Par-3 Tournament. It is also the best day for autographs. And once again, cameras are allowed.
Thursday: The Masters’ ceremonial first tee shot, which debuted in 1963, officially opens the tournament. Three honorary legends will strike tee shots on the first hole named “Tea Olive”. The actual tournament will begin soon afterward.
Friday: This is the last day to see all the players in action. Unfortunately, many will miss the cut and won’t participate on the weekend.
Saturday: This is traditionally known “moving day”. On this day, the players will jockey for position for the final pairings on Sunday.
Sunday: Championship Sunday where the winner will be crowned. And be sure to stay and witness the Green Jacket ceremony at the Terrance Putting Green.
*** Please note that smartphone cameras are not permitted. You must bring a dedicated camera. Also note that telephoto lenses are not permitted.
